I conduct sessions in person in your home or online through either Zoom or Microsoft Teams. In-person sessions are limited to Northeastern, Pennsylvania. IRS mileage rates will apply if you live outside of Scranton.
Both tools have proven to be successful.
Clicker training is an important part of cat training. Clicker training allows you to mark and reward positive behavior.
Target training is useful in guiding different positive behaviors, i.e. training your cat not to jump on the counter.
I use positive reinforcement techniques to modify your cat’s behavior such as counterconditioning. This teaches your cat to replace unwanted behavior with other more favorable behaviors.
Whether you choose to do an online session or an in-person session, you will be emailed a questionnaire prior to the session to complete. I will review the questionnaire before your session and follow up with questions for you at the beginning of your session.
For on-line appointments, you will need a phone camera or laptop. I want to see your cat and how you interact with him. I will also need to see how your house is set up. A floor plan of your home, sent before your session Is helpful. It does not need to be professionally designed.
Whatever method of delivery you choose, I will create a plan and service agreement for you and your cat with your help of course! Follow-up communication is included with each service.
